Annual Meeting FAQ and Hotel Information

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
Confirmation of on-line registrations will be sent via email within 48 hours.  The confirmation will be sent to the email address shown in the registration section.  If you do not receive a confirmation within 2 days, please do not hesitate to call 360-943-0760.

What is the dress code?
Dress is business attire for the Annual Meeting and cocktail attire for the President’s Reception.

Hotel Information:
The Motif hotel rates are $199.00 for single/double occupancy; $219.00 for triple occupancy; $239.00 for quad occupancy plus applicable state and local taxes.  There is also a daily parking fee of $32.00 per vehicle, per night plus tax.  Also, there is an optional daily Guestroom Internet Fee of $12.95 per room, per night.  (Our contracted block has 110 rooms on 11/14/17; 150 rooms on 11/15/17; and 140 rooms on 11/16/17).  Reservations must be made by October 19, 2017 to be assured of space and rates.  We have a limited number of rooms blocked and this date does not guarantee you will get a room with our rate.  Please call right away to make your reservation.  The hotel’s direct reservation line is 855-515-1144 and remember to specify that you are with the Washington Public Ports Association.  Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 p.m.  Cancellations must be received 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid charges.   The Motif requires a deposit equal to the room rate and tax for the first night for each reservation.

Is there a registration deadline?
The seminar registration deadline is November 8, 2017.  The hotel reservation at the group rate deadline is October 19, 2017.  If you call to make hotel reservations before the group rate deadline and have trouble getting a room, please contact Missy Goodell at  Please note:  We have a limited number of rooms blocked and this date does not guarantee you will get a room with our rate.  Please call right away to make your reservation.

What are the registration fees?

What does my registration fee include?
Your WPPA registration fee includes everything listed on the Annual Meeting agenda and we will bill you after the event has occurred.

Do I need to register my guest?
Yes, please register your guest.  There is a place on the on-line registration form to register them.  This helps us to ensure that we order the proper amount of food for our evening reception.

I have food allergies/I’m a vegetarian. How do I let you know this?
There is a comment section on the registration form.  PLEASE note this information there so that we can be sure to order meals that are proper for your needs!  If you have any troubles with the form, have any questions or forget to add that in when you register, please contact Missy Goodell and she will be happy to help: or 360-943-0760.

What if I have to cancel?
A $75 administration fee will be charged for cancellations received after November 8, 2017, and for registrants failing to show.
