SPRING MEETING FAQ AND HOTEL INFORMATION

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
Confirmation of on-line registrations will be sent via email within 48 hours.  The confirmation will be sent to the email address shown in the registration section.  If you do not receive a confirmation within 2 days, please do not hesitate to call 360-943-0760.

What is the dress code?
Dress is business casual.

Hotel Information:
Suncadia Resort rates for single or double occupancy are $169 per night for a Lodge Deluxe Guestroom per night plus a daily resort fee of $29 per room, per night, plus applicable sales and occupancy taxes.  Reservations must be made by April 23, to be assured of space and rates.  You can make your reservations via telephone by calling 866-904-6300.  Identify yourself with the Washington Ports group.  When reservations are made, you are required to provide a deposit equal to the room rate and tax for the first night for each reservation; this deposit will be refunded if you cancel within the required timeframe.  Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 am.  Cancellations must be received 7 days prior to scheduled arrival to avoid charge of one night’s rate plus tax.

Is there a registration deadline?
The seminar registration deadline is May 8, 2017.  This allows us to give proper counts to the hotel for food and needed meeting space.

The hotel reservation at the group rate deadline is April 23, 2017.  If you call to make hotel reservations before the group rate deadline and have trouble getting a room, please contact Missy Goodell at 360-943-0760 OR mgoodell@washingtonports.org.

What are the registration fees?

What does my registration fee include?
Your WPPA registration fee includes everything listed on the Spring Meeting agenda (exceptions listed below) and we will bill you after the event has occurred.

Training Modules:  Two training modules are offered on Wednesday prior to the commencement of the Spring Meeting:  Port Finance and Taxation:  Paying for Things; and Community Outreach.
The Training Modules have separate registrations and will be billed separately from the Spring Meeting.

Spouse Program
: registration is separate and will be billed directly to the attendees of the spouse program (we do not bill your port for the spouse program).

Do I need to register my guest and is there a charge for them to attend?
Yes, please do register your guest!  There is a place on the on-line registration form to register them.  This helps us to ensure that we order the proper amount of food for our evening reception.  No, there is no charge for them to attend the meeting.  We only charge them directly if they attend the Spouse Program tour on Thursday (preregistration for that event is required!).

I have food allergies/I’m a vegetarian. How do I let you know this?
There is a comment section on the registration form.  PLEASE note this information there so that we can be sure to order meals that are proper for your needs!  If you have any troubles with the form, have any questions or forget to add that in when you register, please contact Missy Goodell and she will be happy to help:  mgoodell@washingtonports.org or 360-943-0760.

What if I have to cancel?
A $75 administration fee will be charged for cancellations received after May 10,2017 and for registrants failing to show.
