Guest editorial: Seattle booms, but economy must work for entire state

A recent feature in The Seattle Times tells us all we need to know about what’s happening in Washington state’s economy, or rather, what’s not happening.

 

The paper’s focus on the aftermath of the Great Recession spells out what many of us from outside of Seattle and King County already know: The recovery is not even. Counties outside of the Puget Sound region are experiencing wildly different growth rates, none of which are comparable to what’s happening in Seattle.
