SAFE Boats staying in Bremerton SAFE Boats International is staying put.  The manufacturer of defense and law enforcement boats will finalize new leases for its Port of Bremerton properties this month.

 

ELECTIONS/GOVERNANCE 

Jorgensen to retire from port commission Longtime Blaine resident Jim Jorgensen has announced he won’t run again for the Port of Bellingham commission after his term ends.

 

MARINE TERMINALS 

$3.8 million port upgrade will allow it to handle heavier cargoThe improvements will allow the terminal to support the port’s behemoth mobile harbor crane and to handle heavier cargo that can be directly rolled on or off a waiting freighter.
