Today, U.S. Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Patty Murray (D-WA) announced a $45,000,000 grant award from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to address a notorious bottleneck for train and car traffic in Seattle. The $45 million grant to the City of Seattle for the South Lander Street project will leverage private, state, and local investments to build an east-west grade crossing over the South Lander Street rail corridor in the SoDo neighborhood.
