Port of Seattle discusses possible regional airline network, includes Moses Lake

The Port of Moses Lake is examining possibilities to bring commercial air service back to the Grant County International Airport.

The possibility of an airline serving the Grant County International Airport stems from a discussion with officials at the Port of Seattle. The Seattle officials are looking to create a new regional network for small and independent commercial airlines.

Port of Olympia Commissioner Morris questions purpose of ‘road show’ port meetings

Since 2010, the Port of Olympia commission has taken its commission meetings on the road during the summer months, visiting the communities of Yelm, Rainier, Tenino and Bucoda.

But Port of Olympia Commissioner Michelle Morris on Thursday questioned whether those gatherings were meeting their original goals. She said the meetings are poorly attended, and there are travel costs associated with setting up meetings in outlying communities.
