Port of Port Angeles Launches New Website – News Release

February 26, 2013

Port Launches New Website

On Thursday, February 21st, the Port or Port Angeles launched its newly redesigned website. The website now has a streamlined design presenting the simple categories of ‘Air, Land and Sea.’ The ‘Air, Land and Sea’ categories educate the public on the business of the Port while helping the user navigate to the information they want. A very helpful tool on the new site is the ‘How Do I?’ section. This section is dedicated to the information the public asks for the most. The ‘How Do I?’ button is a shortcut for users to find information fast. Additionally, the new website has interactive modules like ‘Notify Me,’ ‘Report a Concern,’ and ‘Community Voice.’ These modules allow the public to get information from the Port automatically and also share ideas and concerns with the Port staff.

In the late summer of 2012, Port staff began working on the website project. Through the RFP process, the Port selected CivicPlus out of Manhattan, KS to redesign the website. CivicPlus specializes in community engagement and government websites. During yesterday’s regular Port commission meeting, the website was unveiled to the commission. Please check out the new site at http://www.portofpa.com/. If you have any suggestions to make the site even better, create a login and then venture over to the ‘Community Voice’ section of the website and leave your feedback in the ‘Website Improvement Suggestions.’
