Port of Grays Harbor to Host CBR Public Workshop
Aberdeen, WA – The Port of Grays Harbor will be offering an opportunity for the public to learn about crude by rail (CBR) and the projects currently being proposed at the Port on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the Rotary Log Pavilion, located at 1401 Sargent Boulevard in Aberdeen, WA.
Imperium Terminal Services, LLC, Westway Terminal Company, and U.S. Development Group, LLC will have representatives on hand to offer information about their proposed projects. Representatives from Greater Grays Harbor, Inc., Puget Sound & Pacific Railroad, the Washington State Regulatory Assistance Office, and the U.S. Coast Guard have also been invited.
“We invite the public to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about what CBR is and how it works, as well as learn about the job creation and economic impacts these projects could have on Grays Harbor” said Port Executive Director Gary Nelson.
The doors will open at 5:30pm on Wednesday, January 30th, with an overview presentation on CBR at 6:00pm. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity for individual discussions about the projects with the organizations listed above.
Founded in 1911, the Port of Grays Harbor is one of Washington State’s oldest port districts and Washington’s only deep-water port located directly on the Pacific Ocean. The Port of Grays Harbor operates four deepwater marine terminals, the Westport Marina, Bowerman Airport and numerous industrial and business parks throughout the region. The addition of Satsop Business Park increases the Port’s properties to more than 1,000 acres of industrial properties and an additional 1,300 acres of sustainably managed forestland. Strategically located midway between Seattle and Portland and less than 1 ½ hours from open sea, the Port of Grays Harbor provides businesses a diverse portfolio of facilities.
