Port of Kingston begins dredging

Rachel Anne Seymour, November 24, 2014, Kitsap Sun

The Port of Kingston started a dredging project this week that should be complete by Dec. 30.

The public boat ramp will be closed the last week of November and first week of December, said port officials. The launch ramp’s floating piers will need to be taken apart and temporarily moved to allow dredging.

Dredging also will limit boat access in and out of the marina during the day.

The ferry will not be affected by the project.
