Port of Pasco continues Green Power eviction

By The Tri-City Herald Staff, December 13, 2012, The Tri-City Herald

The Port of Pasco continues to move forward on evicting Green Power from the port’s Big Pasco Industrial Park.

Green Power CEO Michael Spitzauer has told port officials and the Herald that he intends to pay his rent and would like to continue renting the property in the park for his unfinished biofuels plant.

Spitzauer now owes the port almost $234,000, according to a summary judgment. That includes double rent for September, October and November, utility fees and the port’s attorney fees.

Port executive director Jim Toomey told the Herald on Wednesday that the port has not received payment from Spitzauer yet.

“The eviction process is moving forward,” Toomey said.
