Time to mark your calendar and make your reservations.  The Small Ports Conference is coming up and you won’t want to miss it!

The 2016 WPPA Small Ports Seminar is scheduled for
October 20 – 21 at the Enzian Inn in Leavenworth.

This year’s seminar will officially run from 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20 to Noon on Friday, October 21.  Please note that prior to the official start we will also be offering the optional Thursday morning intensive which will focus on managing your port’s money and buying things.  These topics are important to us all, and it is highly recommended that you attend this session.  We will be talking about achieving financial success, port taxing authority, touchstones for measuring your port’s financial health, and using debt as a tool.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Enzian Inn but you’ll need to make your reservations soon.  Our block always fills up fast as there are only so many rooms; the deadline to reserve a room at our block rate is Monday, September 19.

Attention Associate Members:

Once again, we received great feedback from last years “Associate Member Speed Dating” so we’re going to offer it up again this year!  On Thursday afternoon, the hotel will set up ten 6’ tables in the same room as our reception.  You will set up your display on this table and at the end of our general session on Thursday; we will have our attendees move to that room to meet with you.  Some of our ports are unsure of how to get a project going or who to go to for the help they need.  This will be your chance to help guide them through this process and educate them on what your company can offer.  The “Speed Dating” portion of the meeting will start at about 4:45 p.m. and the reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. and concludes around 7:00 p.m.  You will be able to leave your display up during the reception and our experience from precious years is that folks continue to visit your tables during that time.  What a great marketing tool for you!

This is a first-come, first-served offer and the tables are limited!  For the first ten associate members who contact us, we will reserve a table for you.  You will be charged $150 for a table and this will include 1 free registration.  Any additional attendees from your firm will be charged the regular registration fee of $50.00 apiece.
