What: Steigerwald Commerce Center – Official Groundbreaking Ceremony
When: Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 10 a.m.

Where: South Truman and 37th Street. (Take the 32nd Street exit from SR-14 in Washougal and follow the signs through the Port Industrial Park. Why: As the largest undeveloped, contiguous parcel of industrial land in Clark County, the Steigerwald Commerce Center is composed of 122+ acres that, when fully developed, will bring needed jobs and economic prosperity to our community.

About: Phase 1 of this economic development project is made possible by a $1.5 million Washington State Grant, allocated as part of the recent state budget package designed to boost economic growth around the state. Specifically, the port will be adding infrastructure that includes approximately 2,500 linear feet of street. This first phase will make available 30-40 acres of Heavy Industrial Property. Full build-out of the property is expected to match local demand as the port anticipates and responds to current market conditions.
