In today’s Tuesday Roundtable discussion with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and the Ports of Olympia, Ilwaco and Chinook, ports learned how to manage reopening their marinas and outdoor recreation areas to public use. In today’s conversation:

·       WDFW discussed their plan for reopening public access, and what areas will remain closed. Additionally, they discussed plans for granting licensing, opening up fishing season, and ensuring employee and public protection.

·       The Port of Olympia shared their plan for reopening, including ways to continue to honor social distancing guidelines

·       The Ports of Ilwaco and Chinook presented on balancing the economic considerations of closures on communities with the public health concerns of the virus
