FMSIB seeks port freight investment priorities
The Freight Mobility Strategic Investment Board (FMSIB) has been directed by the legislature to prioritize strategic freight investment priorities statewide. Ports are encouraged to include freight projects slated for construction over the next six years to be included in this effort in order to be considered for funding during future legislative sessions. This blog will give you details on what information is needed and how to complete the form (at the bottom of the blog) as well as what criteria will be used to prioritize submitted projects. FMSIB will accept submissions until August 15th and strongly encourages projects also be sent to the corresponding Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) or Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO) for inclusion in regional transportation plans.
