The WPPA Ports Governance and Management Guide is a comprehensive, practical handbook written to consolidate a vast amount of information that is integral to the successful governance, management, and operation of Washington’s public ports. Content in the guide will be updated periodically to keep pace with the rapidly evolving port industry and presented to members during ongoing trainings hosted by WPPA. This guide would not have been possible without the contributions of our member and partner organizations. WPPA 2024 Recreational Boating Facilities Guide
Washington state’s port districts increase your access to marine and freshwater boating areas. Port commissions throughout the state work to meet the growing demand for more public moorage sites by building new recreational marinas and fishing boat havens, while also expanding and maintaining existing destinations. The marinas listed in this guide account for nearly 40 percent of the state’s public moorage slips. We hope this information is of assistance when visiting Washington’s 55 public port marinas.
