Waiver extensions on the OPMA and PRA are now through August 1st

Legislative leadership again opted to extend the waivers on the OPMA and PRA late on the day they were set to expire—this time through August 1, 2020. This extension at least relieves some of the tension on ports, which previously only had a week-long extension on these waivers. While it isn’t clear when or if waivers will continue to be extended, the increase in COVID-19 transmission rates in Washington underline the continued importance of the social distancing practices these waivers were intended to provide.
